The Rainbow Room: Autism Class

The Rainbow Classroom is a special class that caters for the needs of child with autism.  Autism is a developmental condition which means that the way a person communicates, interacts and understands other people, and the world, is different to those who do not have the condition. 

In the Rainbow Class we believe in the model of integration and inclusion and work closely with the rest of the school community to ensure opportunities are facilitated to promote this approach.

We value the benefits of ongoing professional development as staff in the area of Autism and we work hard to provide each student with a happy and individualised education.

Our classroom is a bright, colourful and happy environment. We are fortunate to have a variety of diverse resources including a sensory room, an indoor PE hall and outside play area equipped with specialist climbing wall and bridge.
